Implant Restoration The patient had an existing bridge from the right lateral incisor to the left central incisor. The bridge kept coming loose and needed to be cemented multiple times. The patient also wanted individual teeth, therefore an implant was placed in the right central incisor space. This picture shows the healing abutment on top of the implant. The healing abutment prepares the surrounding gingival (gum) for the future crown. The healing abutment stays in place for about four to six weeks. The patient is able to wear a temporary bridge during this time.
